How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Once permits are approved, a kitchen remodel in Los Angeles typically takes 2 weeks to 2 months of build time, depending on the complexity of the project. The more involved the scope, the closer it runs to the longer end. Permit timelines vary by city and are outside our control, so we plan them separately. We give you a schedule before work starts and keep you updated if anything shifts.

Can I stay in my home during the remodel?

Yes. Most clients do. We set up a temporary kitchen area with your fridge, microwave, and a work surface, and seal off the construction zone to keep dust contained. You’ll be without a stove and sink for part of the project, so we plan around that with you.

Do I need permits to remodel my kitchen?

Cosmetic work like cabinets, countertops, and flooring usually doesn’t. Moving plumbing, adding or relocating electrical, removing walls, or changing gas lines does. We pull all required permits and schedule inspections as part of the project.

Can you remove a wall to open up the kitchen?

Yes. We first determine whether the wall is load-bearing. Non-bearing walls come out as part of standard demo; load-bearing walls need a beam and engineering, which we handle. Either way, the goal is an open layout that still passes inspection.
